Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Treatlane store front?

We are currently a home-based bakery running off our online outlets. We have hopes to move to a store front soon.

How do I preserve my treats?

Our cakes contain no preservatives and we strongly recommend that you refrigerate your cakes if you will not be serving them immediately, this is to prevent your cake from going bad. Bring it out for up to 30 minutes before it is served so that it can come to room temperature and come to the right texture before it is served. We recommend that our cakes be refrigerated and can be consumed for up to 7 days after it is picked up or delivered (except fruit cakes which have special care instructions).

How to care for your Fruit cake?

Our fruit cakes have a shelf life of up to 1 month and can be frozen in an air-tight container or cling film (ensure there are not openings for air whatsoever) for up to 1 year. If frozen, thaw your cake over-night in a refrigerator and then allow to sit at room temperature for up to 1 hour before consumption. It will be as good as new!

How to care for your Bread?

The Amish white bread can stay up to 5-7 Days on the shelf. If bread is intended to be kept for longer, freeze up to 1 month and simply bring to room temperature before consuming.

How to care for your French macarons?

Due to the delicate and creamy nature of the filling, your macarons when not refrigerated or frozen will can prone to going bad and become unsafe to consume. Why? cream, the major ingredient in our filling is prone to having unhealthy bacteria multiplication if left at warm or room temperature longer that 2 hours. this could very quickly become poisonous and we recommend that French macarons that have been sitting in room temperature longer than 4 hours be thrown out.

How early should I place my order?

We love our customers and we understand there are circumstances that occur that can make us need a quickly fixed cake for a special occasion, however, the love and time we put into our products is what has birthed our excellence. We would prefer minimum 1-week of advance with all outstanding charges already settled for simple celebration cakes (will be determined by us if it meets the requirement of a simple cake).
